c1981 – my eldest son Jamie aged 10. From Bucks Fizz to Groove Armada….. You’ll see more photos of him as time goes on but I thought I’d get this one in early just to embarrass him. At 16 years old (after an expensive education) he decided he wanted to leave school and get into the music business. He started humping gear in and out of gigs and after a few years went on to travel the world with many bands including Quo, The Diesel Band, Moby, Freestylers, Heather Nova etc and for the past several years (and still) as Tour Manager with Groove Armada www.groovearmada.com while also fitting in tour- managing around the world with the Manic Street Preachers, Starsailor and Hard-Fi amongst others. He’s now got more miles on the clock than his old Dad I reckon…..
